Dark fantasy strategy RPG for PC
Lords of Ravage: Dread Knights is a free-to-play strategy game for PC developed by Synthetic Domain. This RPG adventure is set in a dark fantasy world wherein players are part of the dark side. They will amass an army and vanquish any hero that stands in their way toward complete dominance.
Serving as a prologue to the Lords of Ravage full game, Lords of Ravage: Dread Knights boasts tactical turn-based combat similar to games like Wartales and Songs of Conquest. There is a large map divided into multiple locations to explore on the journey to conquest.
Bloody and terrifying reign
In the game, you play Berold, a titular Lord of Ravage, in service to the King. However, you have slowly grown weary of your sire's pacifist ways, believing that the real way to achieving a great kingdom is through blood and terror. You have taken it upon yourself to take the reigns and lead a path to establishing true might, no matter the cost.
Traverse through a large region with 20 unique locations to explore as you pillage lands, recruit more followers, and increase your power through political and economic means. Fight a wide variety of enemies, from a party of adventurers to lone challengers and even a military battalion, each with distinct strengths and weaknesses to exploit and gain the edge during battle encounters.
During battles, you can utilize 15 Combat Orders that can help change the tide during tough moments and turn things in your favor. You will get to discover 10 ancient relics as you pillage territories that will enhance and boost your powers further. Now, as mentioned earlier, this is just a prologue for the full Lords of Ravage, which is not available yet.
The dark side
All in all, Lords of Ravage: Dread Knights serves as a solid preview of what the full game will be like in terms of presentation, story, and gameplay. The resto visuals look nice, and the combat allows for a good level of strategy and tactics to come out on top. Hopefully, Lords of Ravage will come out soon. Give this one a try now.
